Champions for Children Campaign

Between the 6th and 20th June, the Intrepidus Trust participated in the Childhood Trust’s ‘Champions for Children’, a match-funding campaign on the Big Give platform, raising vital funds for charities working to alleviate the impact of poverty on children across London.

We participated in order to raise funds for the enrichment programmes delivered at Kensington Aldridge Academy, and the response to our campaign was incredible! Thanks to the support of campaign donors, we were able to smash our £45k target, generating an amazing £55,490!

These funds will flow directly to benefit students at KAA paying for a huge range of educational enrichments, including:

  • Residentials and mentoring for at-risk students e.g. Jamie’s Farm Residentials, holiday sessions

  • Sport e.g. Rowing, Swimming tuition

  • Life Skills activities e.g. Duke of Edinburgh Award programme, mentoring, careers workshops

  • Music, drama and media activities including 1:1 instrumental tuition, stage productions, Upper Voices Choir, Band, Fine Art projects

  • Breakfast Club - free nutritious hot and cold breakfast and study support

  • Programme and Partnership development - costs of developing the programmes above (proportion of staff salaries)

On behalf of us all at KAA and the Intrepidus Trust, a huge thank you to our donors for their generous support.
